It seems that all of our trips to the Everglades this year have been rushed. Mostly one day trips with an hour and a half drive on both ends. No early morning shots - no late evening shots.
It was time to take a break from it all and just enjoy time there without rushing.

We arrived at Everglades City at 1:00 and checked into the room. Brought the dogs along so we had to get them settled before we could get out and about. We figured we had just enough time to get a run through Loop Road - so off we go.

A day on the boat

An attempt at a buggy ride.
Too many toys and not enough time - that's our excuse for not getting on the buggy enough this year. We took a day of this trip to reserve time for the buggy All seemed well until the left fron tire started making a grinding noise. One thing you don't want to do is get your buggy stuck way back in the wood. Tow trucks don't make that trip!
So we made it a short day and brought the buggy back in.
Sunday, March 1st
Front is coming and it's time to go home. We decided to get a little adventure time in before packing up and hitting the road. Found this great spot where the water had receded to leave a lot of cracked land. Only one problem - you couldn't step off the grass to get a better angle of the sun - you step on that muddy area and you'll sink to your knees!
